Goh Thian Leong has more than 33 years of experience in the Insurance Industry. He started his Insurance career with an international direct insurance broking firm in 1976 and then moved to Malaysia British Assurance in 1980 where he spent a total of 10 years. Initially he was involved in marketing and servicing direct insurance brokers, before being promoted as Senior Manager in charge of Underwriting and Reinsurance. 

 

He then joined the professional reinsurance field, serving two international reinsurance companies for a total of 10 years before joining one of the Lloyd’s syndicates when Lloyd’s Asia was formed in Singapore. He later helped start up a Lloyd’s syndicate in Singapore and Labuan. 

 

He joined Arthur J. Gallagher Asia Pte Ltd in 2003 which subsequently in 2008 became the subject of an MBO when the company was renamed Asia Reinsurance Brokers Pte Ltd.

 

TL as he is better known, brings with him many years of Broking, Insurance, and Reinsurance Underwriting experience within the Asian region. He has many qualifications including Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII), Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Insurance Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), Fellow of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (FMII), and Fellow of the Singapore Insurance Institute (FSII).
