Mark joined ARB in June 2012. He has been working in the Insurance Industry since 1984 when he started his career with Alexander Howden Reinsurance Brokers in London. During his time in the London market Mark has worked as a both a reinsurance and a direct broker, placing direct, facultative and treaty business. He has also handled claims arising from both direct and reinsurance placements.
Mark moved to Hong Kong in 1992 and joined Abeille Reassurances as a treaty underwriter. Following the takeover of Abeille Reassurances by the Axa group Mark was seconded back to London in 1996 to underwrite a mostly LMX and South African treaty portfolio. But his heart remained in Asia so he moved back to Hong Kong in 1997 where he worked for a local reinsurance broking and Managing Agent operation. He developed a regional book of treaty and facultative business during that time that was either underwritten by the MGA or placed through the broking operation to regional and International reinsurers. He moved to Singapore in 2003 and has worked for PWS East Asia and Cooper Gay Asia before joining ARB.
